With snow on the ground and beer in our cups, it’s about time we take stock of what’s going on for the coming season.

With our new canning line installed, we are finally able to offer tall-can formats of new and old favourites. The obvious first choice was our Burnside Blood Orange–an ale where even a few extra sips in the can never seems to be enough. Added to our lineup has also been the first edition of our Stand Tall Series: tall cans with fresh seasonal beers and stories relating to the wonderful folk of our city who have stood tall throughout history and set a shining example of what we here at the brewery hope to live up to. The Brier Park New England Pale Ale is available for purchase through retailers and the taproom. Keep an eye out for this month’s release, a rich coconut porter!

New cans haven’t been the only thing our brewing team has been busy with. The installation of a 4 hectolitre pilot system has allowed us to experiment and blend seasonal fruits/spices with some of our core beers. The result has been the Small-Batch Series–Pumpkin Spice Brown, Barrel Aged Red Ale, and Blueberry Ale just to name a few. It’s like a cask you don’t need to line up for! These experiments are in very short supply, so check our Facebook, Instagram and Twitter pages using @mhbrewco or pop by the taproom for the most up-to-date creations.

Our second anniversary is coming up, and we hope to meet each and every one of you. Additionally, you can warm up to any of the craft markets and small events we host in our taproom throughout the season. Details for these events can be found on our website calendar as well as through our social media channels.
